There will be extended maintenance tonight (or early morning for some!) Keeping in the timing of everything for Grizzleheim last year, KingsIsle is right on course for another busy summer for young wizards everywhere!
Let’s take a look back at last year’s summer semester:
June 19th, 2009
- Grizzleheim Opened on Test Server Today!! – We met the loveable(??) Grizzleheim Bears and met a new kind of Jade Oni fight. Malistaire was stronger and we fought against Sylvia Drake.
- New Crafting Feature in Wizard101 - Mistwood? Why can I never find Mistwood? Hellllloooooo Mistwood???!
- Other Wizard101 Releases Coming Soon – Stun shields were introduced. You could now gain health while in your dorm room. The max gold was raised to 150,000. And the Satyr pet now carried the Satyr card instead of a Unicorn.

- Wizard101 to Release New Shopping Options – We met Elik Silverfist for the very first time and learned the Bazzar was a grand place to be!

- Our Trip to Grizzleheim – We had a chance to go through GH and take quite a few pictures.
- I’m on the Test Server Now What? – We learned that we could now Group with other Wizards. We also found out that Open Chat would be available!

- Wizard101 Boss Fights Are Tougher! – We found out exactly what Enhanced Boss Fights meant. OUCH!!
You may have noticed that bosses of the Spiral have a few new tricks up their sleeves!
Some of the bosses have been learning from all their encounters with the Wizards of the Spiral. Bosses may now cast additional spells, even when it is not their turn and they may call extra minions to their side to aid in the battle.
Enter the….every Oni boss in Mooshu…*gulp* I braved through it..power pips on the boss and all those evil minions!
June 25th, 2009
- Brand New Spells – A new death spell called Infection is introduced (-50% to next health spell). And we find out that it’s VERY helpful in those nasty Jade Oni fights.
June 30th, 2009
- The Time is Almost Here for Wizard101 Fans! – Fansites get exclusive wallpaper. Friendly gets a sneak peek at Mannequins.
- It’s OFFICIAL! Grizzleheim Opens Tomorrow on Wizard101! – We get the final notification that GH is now a reality and coming to a server near you.
I hope I’m right. I would love to awake to test realm opening. We know that there will be a new quest line opening for Celestia.
