It seems to me that many people can understand why Life School is overlooked in the Spiral. One of the reasons they stand out is because they can be essential in every situation imaginable. To put it simply, let’s label this the healing factor.

Most people know there are two types of healing. A straight shoot of life or a heal over time spell. A straight shot of life can only go so far, as it only works once and can only heal you to the maximum your total allows. Ergo, a quick fix. A quick fix is only good in situations where the enemies are dwindling down and you have a chance at finishing the last enemy soon, but the problem with these healing spells is, the waste all their healing potential at once.

Here’s where healing over time comes in handy. When you are expecting damage you can easily cast this spell and it will continue to heal you while save pips for your next attack. Another good quality is that if you use a boost to the spell when it is cast it will last for the duration of the heal. This means that if you throw out that nice Sanctuary Aura (don’t forget you have to rake the leaves up mister or missy) your boost will be given to all three rounds of healing and therefore you get triple, yes triple the boost to your heal. This is just one reason some life students prefer this message.

Remember, healing over time gives you more time to focus on the next move, where as healing with one straight shot, will only give you enough time to think one round ahead.

Also, might I point out some good healing extras while I’m at it.
