Charming Tidbits Part I
AND
Tie-In Friendship Challenge!

With the Winter Wizard’s Smash & Bash quickly approaching thanks to Diary of a Wizard, I decided to share a few morsels of my Charms knowledge.

  1. Charm spells can be spotted easily by the green four-leaf clover on the spell card.
  2. Charm spells cost from zero to two pips to cast.
  3. Infection (Death) is free for Death School students, but costs students from other schools one training point. Zero pips to cast.
  4. Guiding Light (Life) boosts the power of the next Healing spell cast by the wizard wearing it by 30%. Zero pips to cast.
  5. Guidance (also Life, similar name but very different benefit) adds 10% accuracy to the next spell cast by all friends. One pip to cast.
  6. Lightning Strike (Storm) adds 10% accuracy to the next Storm spell cast by the wizard wearing the charm. Zero pips to cast.
  7. Lightning Strike is the only school-specific accuracy charm, most likely because storm has the lowest initial accuracy rate (70%).
  8. Precision (Balance) adds 10% accuracy to the next spell cast by the wizard wearing the charm. Zero pips to cast.
  9. Accuracy Charms are stack-able, but wizards must be patient to maximize this benefit. (P.S. StormyWiz, this means YOU!)
  10. There is a charm to to dispel (make fizzle) the next spell for each of the elemental schools. Two pips to cast.

I have an entire series of “Charming Tidbits” columns ready and waiting … IF the Diary of a Wizard ConnectX community is “charmed” by my column! If they are all published before the Winter Smash & Bash on December 19, this will total 90 tips on Wizard101 charms. With thousands in crowns up for grabs, you know you want all 90 tips BEFORE the Smash & Bash!

Oh, Icy Queen of Everything, how can we persuade you to share ALL of this knowledge before the Smash & Bash? Do we have to eat Turkish Delight? No, no my beloved subjects. All you have to do is show me the honor of your friendship.

Huh? What? Will you please stop talking like Spinelli from General Hospital? OK, fine. (editor’s note:  Crazy ice lady!)

If I receive at least five new friendship requests on my Diary of a Wizard ConnectX page after publishing EACH column, I will unlock the next column for publishing the following day.

So it’s simple:

  • I publish a column on www.diaryofawizard.com with ten tips specifically related to charms.
  • If you like it, submit a friend request to me at my ConnectX profile page
    • Yes, this means you have to be a ConnectX member BUT you have to be a member to be in the Smash & Bash anyway
  • If I receive at least five new friend requests a day, all nine columns will be published and my readers will have all 90 tips.
  • If all goes as planned, I will have at least 40 new ConnectX friends by the Smash & Bash! Woot!
