Make Your Own Wizard101 Movie!

Another cool treat for the summer has just been released!  You can make you very own Wizard101 video.

Have you ever wanted to be a film director? Here’s your opportunity!

Make your own Wizard101 video!

We’ve provided the background, you just have to use your creativity to visualize what Merle and Gamma are talking about in the Crystal Ball. We’ve made some examples to help spark your imagination. Follow the instructions on the page linked below and once you’re happy with your video, post it on an internet video hosting website and email us the link!

Follow these steps carefully!

1. Download the Wizard101 Greenscreen video:

2. Find source images, video or create your own images to go in Crystal Ball!

  • If you want to record your own videos, you can use Fraps. Download it free from cnet.com.

3. Open Wax program.

4. Right click in white area of ‘Media Bin’. Click ‘Add Media Files’ and find Wizard101 Greenscreen video and your Crystal Ball videos/images.

5. In Media Bins, drag The Wizard101 Greenscreen.avi down to the timeline area.

6. Click the tab ‘Video Plugins’ and you will see ‘Chroma Key’ under Color. Drag the Chroma Key plugin down and drop it on your Wizard101 Greenscreen video.

7. Select your color to be the lime green in the video and then adjust the slider for Tolerance as necessary.

8. Place your reference video/images on the timeline under Wizard101 Greenscreen.avi and adjust as you like!

9. Use the Play and Stop buttons in the video area to view your creation.

10. Add your own voices for the characters. What are they talking about?! Use .wav or equivalent.

11. When you have it the way you want it. Click the green arrow to Render. Click File, Save As, and save your file. Then post it to an internet video hosting page and share it with us!
